Hello!!! I'm Chloe Mercado. 

I am a native of New Braunfels, Texas, and I am an ambitious individual with a huge passion for sports and producing media. Since I was young I was always captivated by the world of digital media, which has influenced my determination to pursue a career in this field.  I am currently enrolled at Texas State University in the Mass Communications program.  I'm motivated to learn more about social media marketing, branding, and content creating, so I can apply these skills to a real job or project.

When I'm not in class, I love to put my focus on working out, videography, and sports. I am an avid UFC and Formula One fan, and make sure to watch or attend every event. My passion for these sports goes beyond just being a fan. I love participating with online communities that also enjoy these sports and have the that appreciation I have. I dream of creating genuine and innovating content for large sports companies that can resonate with their audiences. I have many years of experience in customer service and communications and believe I can make a lasting impression in my future career.

In this Social Media show I discussed the meaning of Social Media and "Going Live." I began my segment by going over a few small social media news stories. I spoke about the addition of "Live-Games" on instagram, New X features and take-aways, and Youtube shorts & their new Live navigation space. Later on I discussed a larger story involving TikTok live-streaming and the revenue it bring in.
